Gentle, therapeutic yoga & meditation for anyone struggling with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, insomnia, or post-traumatic stress.

We all have a warrior spirit, but even warriors need to slow down, rest, and heal.

Sessionss are adapted to meet the individual needs of students, so that each person can focus on the process of healing, releasing stress, and re-energizing their warrior spirit.

Lisa is an ERYT-200, RYT 500, a Certified iRest® Teacher, a Doctoral Candidate at the Hindu University of America in Yoga Philosophy, and the owner of Kalaheo Yoga Studio in Kauai.

She is actively pursuing her 800 Yoga Therapy Certification (C-IAYT) through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy and has completed several programs specific to the needs of Veterans and trauma survivors.  Read More

This extended session combines the physical releasing power of Yin Yoga with the mental restorative power of iRest Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation to ease symptoms of stress and reconnect you with inner stillness, leaving you rested and rejuvenated.

Connect to the natural world of the Tao and experience healing and peace through the natural elements. Once revered as sacred, the elements fire, earth, metal, water, and wood, are now viewed as unconscious matter. As we travel through our modern lives, our experience of the elements has completely changed and hardly noticed.

Journey through the seasons and elements with Lisa and Sarah in five sessions:

  • “Sprout” Spring Session: “Cleanse the liver and gallbladder" March 2019
  • “Blossom” Summer Session: "Circulate the heart and clarify the small intestine” June 2019
  • “Harvest” (late) summer session: “Nourish the spleen and stomach" September 2019
  • “Compost” Autumn Session: "Clean the lungs and colon" fall and metal session November 18, 2018 1-3PM
  • “(Re)store” Winter Session: Restore the kidneys and bladder" TBD January 2019

Each session will be a combination of lecture material and yin yoga postures to cultivate and harmonize these five alchemical energies that are located in the universal field, and which play a distinct role in our own bodies. Join us for one or all five of the phases of this workshop.

Join me and Five Element Acupuncture Expert Sarah Brooks this spring in Kalaheo as we guide you in through the depths of yin yoga. An exploration of the five elements of Taoist theory and Chinese medicine and deeply meditative, nourishing practices for the body and mind.
